Classic City Confections is a cottage bakery owned and operated by Ashley King. Ashley is an Athens, Ga native and has been making cakes in the Classic City since 2010.
Beginning 2026, I will only be taking wedding orders through Epting Events and Athens Food Group (Georgian Hall, The Chapel Athens). If you are getting married at one of these venues, please let me know in your inquiry. Epting Events orders will be vetted directly through Epting Events staff.
Cake and cheesecake slices can also be purchased at Trappeze Pub in downtown Athens!

Cake Flavors
1. Chocolate mocha mud cake with chocolate ganache filling and buttercream icing.
2. Spice cake caramel filling and buttercream icing.
3.Lemon cake with lemon curd filling and buttercream icing.
4. Coconut walnut cake with pineapple filling and buttercream icing.
5. Classic Vanilla cake with buttercream icing. Strawberry, raspberry, or caramel filling.
6. Red velvet cake with cheesecake filling and buttercream icing.
7. Almond cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing.
Cake Pricing
Cake pricing is based on various scenarios: Serving amount, complexity of design, and elements being put to use to bring the design together.
Buttercream wedding cake designs start at $6.00 per serving and fondant wedding cake designs start at $7.00 per serving.
Most tiered wedding cakes can range in price between $400.00-$1200 depending on your specific needs. We do have a minimum order of $400.00 for tiered wedding cake orders (There is no minimum order on cutting cakes/dessert buffets). Pricing includes delivery within the Athens area (to Georgian Hall, The Chapel Athens, and Epting Events venues only at this time)and an additional anniversary cake on your first wedding anniversary.
Groom's cakes and specialty cakes are priced by design, sculpted designs start at $10.00/serving.
Single tiered layer cakes are priced by size and come in several simple but very appealing designs:
A 4 inch round mini cake is $35.00 and feeds 8-12 guests.
A 6 inch round layer cake is $50.00 and feeds around 15-20 guests.
An 8 inch round layer cake is $75.00 and feeds around 25-35 guests.
A 10 inch round layer cake is $125.00 and feeds between 35-45 guests.
A 12 inch round layer cake is $175.00 and feeds around 55 guests.

A 6 inch heart shaped cake is $65.00 and feeds around 20 guests.
An 8 inch heart shaped cake is $90.00 and feeds around 40 guests.
A 10 inch heart shaped cake is $140.00 and feeds around 50 guests.

French Macarons
The French macaron is a sweet meringue-based cookie made with egg white, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, and almond flour-making it a naturally gluten free delicacy!
Macarons are $27.00/dozen. Minimum order of 2 dozen per flavor.

Cake pops/cake truffles
The perfect two bite cake confection! Cake pops come in vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet and are dipped in white, milk, or dark chocolate. A sparkling sugar color of your choice decorates the top of each pop.
Cake pops are $24.00/dozen for minimally decorated with sprinkles and $30.00/dozen for more complex designs.
Cupcakes
Cupcakes are available in all of the traditional flavors listed above, but do not have a filling. Regular sized cupcakes are $30.00/dozen and mini cupcakes are $10.00/dozen. A minimum order of two dozen cupcakes is required.
Cream puffs
Cream puffs are made with pate a choux pastry dough and filled with chocolate or vanilla whipped cream and dipped in dark chocolate ganache. Cream puffs are $24.00/dozen and can be decorated to match your party or theme with festive sprinkles!
Cookies
Choose from chocolate chip or white chocolate macadamia nut. Minimum one dozen order per flavor, $12.00/dozen.
Brownies
Chocolate brownies with chocolate chips with or without walnuts. Minimum one dozen order, $18.00/dozen. Brownie bites are $10.00/dozen.
Tastings

At this time, tastings are by appointment either through Epting Events catering, Athens Food Group, or by appointment only. Please reach out through email to discuss the best option for your needs!
